The workshop and fieldtrip is designed for geoscientists, including young and experienced geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers. With over 130 meters of core samples from major fields in the Kutai Basin, ranging from fluvial to deep water environments, participants will learn about the notable similarities between the modern Mahakam delta and its Miocene counterparts, which are known for their prolific hydrocarbon intervals. On the field, you will get the comparison from what you have seen in core and on the field.
